My daughter Gianna requested a fairy garden party for her sixth birthday. She wanted to make terrariums and fairy houses with her friends. Verde Galerie Flower Shop & Cafe, a new spot that opened in town was the perfect location for her party theme.
When each guest arrived they were given fairy wings and a wand. The girls spent almost the entire party building a personal fairy garden, and then a terrarium. There was so much imagination and creativity flowing. The owner of the shop, taught the girls all about the gardens, the moss, different flowers and fairies, decorating with twigs and bark, etc.
Usually I try not to serve a meal at birthday parties. Just keep it simple, provide lots of healthy snacks, and small bottled waters. As for dessert Gianna requested just simple cupcakes, so the Meri Meri Fairy cupcake kit was perfect, a big hit. We did add some macaroons and flower cookies too.
Gianna and her friends had a blast. I love making her birthday a special day, so fun celebrating another year with her in our lives. Hopefully you’ll find some ideas and inspiration here for your own child’s birthday party.
