The Ultimate Unicorn Birthday Party

For our daughter’s ninth birthday party, Ava requested a unicorn theme plus a sleepover in tents. I truly wasn’t ready for a sleep over with fourteen girls, perhaps a sleep under. Thank God for Sarah from Rosebud Boxes!  In addition to awesome unicorn theme party items, she also set up her beautiful handmade tents for Ava and her friends. Every single detail of Ava’s sleep over party was exquisite. From the props to donut wall, Sarah truly out did herself. It was outstanding!

Each guest received a unicorn horn to wear when they arrived. For entertainment they played unicorn bingo, pin the horn on the unicorn, and watched a movie as they snuggled in the tents. They also had Lucky Charms snacks with unicorn marshmallows too. Everyone wore their pajamas so they were comfy. The girls ate pizza for dinner and had cake as well as donuts for dessert. It was perfectly simple. The cake was unbelievable! My friend Susan from Baked in Southington made it and it turned out absolutely perfect. There were small bottled waters and unicorn seltzer’s to drink with unicorn straws. I try to keep the food and drink options simple and easy for my kid’s birthday parties, less stress for sure.

Our dining room was turned into the perfect party room. A unicorn face backdrop, purchased from amazon, was a cute touch. Who doesn’t love a good backdrop for photos? The week of the party, Ava put together all the goody bags. They included unicorn marshmallow poop and unicorn lollipops from Party City. Target also has a great selection of unicorn party items. Plus my Mom helped out by finding cute pjs and tulle skirts from Carter’s. And lastly I purchased the roses from Trader Joe’s to add a little elegance to the table.

As chaotic as kid’s birthdays can be, it usually doesn’t take a whole lot for everyone have fun. Especially with the help and assistance from Rosebud Boxes. I can’t say enough compliments, kudos to Sarah. She truly creates a beautifully styled party. Her party packages include all the decor, tableware, costumes and games to create a party to remember.
